Dr Choice ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of clinicians and their patients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our clinical management platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, clinic name) when creating an account. We also collect patient data that you enter into the platform. We collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and login times. We use cookies for authentication and session management.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Dr Choice service, to communicate with you about your account, to send transactional emails (billing, security alerts), and to analyse usage patterns to improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Patient Data
Patient records entered into Dr Choice are stored securely in Supabase (EU region). Patient data is only accessible to users within your clinic account. We do not use patient data to train AI models. All patient data can be exported or deleted on request.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular security assessments. We are committed to HIPAA-ready data handling practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain data for 30 days before deletion. Patient data can be exported at any time from the settings page. You may request immediate deletion by contacting support.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database & auth), Google Gemini (AI analysis), Anthropic Claude (AI fallback), LemonSqueezy (billing), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may request a data export at any time. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@drchoice.app.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect platform functionality.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of Dr Choice after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
